The Flamin’ Galah – A Fiery Feast at The Garden of Unearthly Delights

Writer: David Vincent RoccaDavid Vincent Rocca

Adelaide’s Garden of Unearthly Delights is always a highlight of Mad March, but this year, there’s something extra special sizzling under the stars. I had the pleasure of dining at The Flamin’ Galah, an exciting culinary experience led by none other than Duncan Welgemoed, one of Australia’s most celebrated chefs.

An Unforgettable Dining Experience

Nestled in the heart of the Adelaide Fringe Festival, The Flamin’ Galah is redefining open-fire cooking with South Australia’s largest fire pit, delivering bold flavours and a menu packed with top-quality local ingredients. Whether you’re sitting down for a la carte table service or grabbing something quick to go, this is the ultimate pre-show feast.

Every dish is a masterclass in flavour, technique, and fire-driven cooking—think charred meats, perfectly smoked vegetables, and a menu that’s both innovative and deeply rooted in Australian culinary heritage.
